CEDAR CITY — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 200 North and Main Street Saturday morning sent one of the drivers to the hospital.
Cedar City Police Sgt. Jerry Womack said the incident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. and involved a white Ford Taurus sedan and a white Plymouth Voyager van.
The two vehicles entered the intersection from opposite directions, with the van heading westbound and the Taurus going east and preparing to make a left turn onto northbound Main Street, Womack said.
As the vehicles passed each other in the intersection, the front of the Taurus reportedly sideswiped the driver’s side of the Voyager, which came to a stop on the sidewalk at the northwest corner of the intersection.
The male driver of the van was transported to Cedar City Hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries that were not believed to be serious, Cedar City Police Cpl. Tim Bonzo said at the scene.
The female driver of the Taurus was not injured. Her car sustained minor to moderate front-end damage but appeared to still be operable. The van’s driver side had a badly damaged door and side panel. It was later towed from the scene.
No citations were issued in connection with the incident, police said.

So the Taurus made a left turn and ran into the van. But no tickets issued. Anybody else see something wrong here?
The only thing I see is I hope I’m that lucky ?
Sounds like the Taurus owner could have been from St.George. Or is the “Utah Left” common up there too?
