Thressa Palmer Gunnell

Oct. 2, 1927 — June 3, 2018

Thressa Palmer Gunnell, our sweet, loving mother, 90, passed peacefully away at her home in Hurricane, Utah, on June 3, 2018. She was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Bloomington, Idaho, to Raoul Alonzo Palmer and Henrietta Cook Palmer.

Tess was raised and educated in Paris, Idaho, Bear Lake County. She was a member to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her passion was reading, and she played the trumpet. She also enjoyed bowling, golf, swimming and water and snow skiing.

She married, “the love of her life,” Loran Kynaston Gunnell, in Conda, Idaho, on Feb. 5, 1944.

Tess is survived by her daughter, Launie G. Black; grandchildren: Tiffany Black (LaMar Roy) Stuart, Scott Gunnell and Shantel Gunnell; great-grandchildren: Koda Stuart and Cheyenne Stuart. She is preceded in death by her husband, Loran; son, Stephen Loran Gunnell; and daughter, Troi Lee Hart.

She will be missed greatly, and she will be carried in our hearts forever.  A small family gathering will take place at a later time.

The family would like to thank Canyon Homecare and Hospice for their loving care, as well as her friends David and Sharon Myers and Dave and Gail Jackson, whom she loved and were always there to help her.
