BRYCE CANYON CITY — Ruby’s Inn – the closest lodging to Bryce Canyon National Park – invites guests to escape the summer swelter and enjoy a stay at 8,000 feet elevation with the “Bryce Canyon Summer Savings” special.

About the special

From June 17 through July 12 guests who book one night at regular summer rates will receive each additional night (up to three more nights) at 30 percent off.

Guests will also receive a free copy of the “Bryce Canyon Auto and Hiking Guide.”

Why come in summer?

With school out and summer vacation in full swing, a lot of people believe that it is just too busy and crowded to come to Ruby’s Inn and Bryce Canyon National Park in the summer, said Lance Syrett, Ruby’s Inn general manager. But there is a period of time in the summer that slows down, offering would-be travelers a chance to enjoy the cooler summer temperatures and all the seasonal activities available in the area.

Summer of fun at Ruby’s Inn and Bryce Canyon

Ruby’s Inn offers unique access to stunning views of Red Canyon in the Dixie National Forest on guided horseback rides as well as rides in the unique Grand Staircase region. Ruby’s Inn also offers guided ATV tours, mountain bike rentals and more. Ebenezer’s Cowboy Dinner Show

Guests who visit Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill – a western-style chuck wagon restaurant at Ruby’s Inn featuring nightly musical entertainment along with a meal – will enjoy new entertainment consisting of popular country musicians Tim Gates, Fred Boekhorst, Kari Nelson and Billy Arnold.

Gates, Boekhorst, Nelson and Arnold will perform at the restaurant about five nights each week, with the remainder being covered by local performers and others. The four musicians and all others who are invited to perform at Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill will be featured as members of “The Bryce Canyon Wranglers,” a news release about Ebenezer’s Barn & Grill’s entertainment stated.

“This is a world class-show,” Syrett said, adding that the performers are true entertainers.

Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo

Every Wednesday through Saturday during the summer, guests can enjoy all the excitement and competition of the Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo.

Tickets for adults are $13 and children (ages 5-11) are $9. Tickets can be purchased in the Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn Lobby or at the rodeo entrance gate.

Cowboys and cowgirls of all ages are invited to try their luck riding in the rodeo with bullriding for the adults and for the youngsters, steer riding and sheep riding.

Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally

From June 22-24 – weather permitting – watch beautiful hot air balloons launch into the air each morning while enjoying the incredible landscape of nearby Panguitch and Utah’s color country.

Other activities include a 5K race, Lions Club breakfast, biker parade, vendors, activities and the popular night glow on the streets of Panguitch.

Tropic 4th of July Celebration

Celebrate the 4th of July in the quaint town of Tropic just a few miles from Ruby’s Inn.

Activities include a parade, kids’ races, a 4th of July program, a hot dog and hamburger lunch, park activities including inflatables, an evening barbecue and fireworks at dusk from Ruby’s Inn.
