The riders, both juveniles, crashed the ATV on a dirt road near the reservoir, Washington County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nate Abbott said.

One of the riders, a 17-year-old girl, was injured, Abbott said.

“The other person was fine,” he said.

A medical crew from Intermountain Life Flight was contacted as a precaution.

“Situations like that, we always have Life Flight on standby,” Abbott said.

Ultimately, the incident did require the helicopter crew to dispatch to the location, and medical personnel from Enterprise Fire Department transported the patient to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George for treatment.

The girl’s injuries were not life-threatening, Abbot said.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.
