HURRICANE – Hurricane Police officers and other first responders were dispatched to an incident on Old Highway 91 Friday night involving a crash into a light pole.
The crash, which involved a single passenger car, was reported to the St. George Communications Center at approximately 9:05 p.m. just north of the Western States Flooring Warehouse on Old Highway 91.
An initial report indicated there were multiple occupants in the car when it collided with the light pole. Police at the scene did not comment on how many people had been in the car nor confirm if there were any injuries.
The passenger car, a light-colored Lexus, appeared to have crashed against the light pole on the driver’s side door, bending it inward.
The light pole did not appear to sustain damage, and the light at the top was still shining down on the car on which it had left an impression.
The impact on travel through the area appeared minimal as the car was completely off the road when the collision occurred.
Emergency crews from Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
