Lula Vivian Burr Davis

May 17, 1918 — Sept. 28, 2016

Lula Vivian Burr Davis was reunited with her beloved husband, Reed, Sept. 28. Born May 17, 1918, in Koosharem Utah, the 7th of 9 children, Lula cherished time spent with her siblings and cousins playing sports. She lost her mother at a tender age of twelve and quickly learned skills that blessed her own family for years to come as a homemaker.

As a young women, Lula followed the sound of a beautiful tenor voice she heard rehearsing at church to meet the man who would become the love of her life. She married Reed Davis Oct. 24, 1936, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

They became parents of four children: Vonda Hutton (Chuck), Ferril Davis (Judy), John Davis (Michelle) and Jerry Davis (Joann). She nurtured 17 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.

Lula loved beautifully, forgave completely, gardened magnificently, giggled heartily and took bowling very seriously! She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings; most precious to her was teaching the beehives and serving a full-time mission with Reed in Maine.

Lula is survived by her children and grandchildren and her dear 96-year-old sister Ada Neff.
