ST. GEORGE — As Southern Utah police continue to receive reports of counterfeit bills, the St. George Police Department is urging the community to be cautious. The Police Department also put out a request Wednesday for the public’s help identifying two suspects wanted for questioning in the active counterfeit money investigation.
Detectives are looking for information that may help identify the man and woman captured in the photographs shown in this report.
The duo is wanted in connection to a counterfeit bill incident that occurred Tuesday at the Maverik – Adventure’s First Stop – convenience store located on 700 S. River Road, where the man and woman allegedly passed two counterfeit $100 bills, according to the St. George Police Department.
The two were reportedly driving an “older-style” Mitsubishi Lancer with Nevada license plates.
“We are asking the public and local business(es) to take extra care to check cash prior to accepting it,” the Police Department said in a statement Wednesday.
Anyone who recognizes the individuals in the photos or has information about either of their whereabouts is asked to call the St. George Police Department at 435-627-4300 and reference incident 16P021423.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

the government pays it’s bills with counterfeit money
The government is allowed to commit crimes. Don’t you know? They investigate themselves and find no wrongdoing
