ST. GEORGE — Ace Martial Arts, an established martial arts school in St. George has moved to a new, 7,000-square-foot facility located at 2746 E. 850 North in St. George. The studio is celebrating the new location with a grand opening Saturday.
Ace Martial Arts was established in 2000 and quickly became a premier martial arts school serving the St. George area. It has been named a top 100 school in America by the Black Belt Schools of America and has produced over a dozen world and national champion students in karate and several national jiu jitsu champions, said Aaron “Ace” Reis, the founder and co-owner of Ace Martial Arts.
The studio teaches students ages 3 and up and instructs in a variety of martial arts including karate, jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts as well as fitness classes, Reis said.
In addition to martial arts instruction, students learn valuable life skills such as self-discipline, respect, focus, how to deal with bullies and how to properly defend themselves.
Reis has trained in martial arts since he was 4 years old and holds the rank of seventh degree black belt in karate and black belt in jiu jitsu. He has won the world karate championship 10 times.
Despite his many personal achievements, Reis said his favorite aspect of teaching is watching his students achieve their goals and better themselves.
Staff at Ace Martial Arts are highly skilled in their chosen disciplines. Students will be trained by black belts in jiu jitsu and karate as well as some of the best boxing, wrestling and muay thai kickboxing coaches around, according to information from the studio.
Saturday’s grand opening celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include food, entertainment, prizes, martial arts demonstrations, an opportunity to tour the new facility and special onsite offers for classes.
