ST. GEORGE – Following Utah Democratic Party Chair’s Peter Corroon’s denunciation of Gov. Gary Herbert’s confirmation that he plans to vote for Donald Trump in November, the Utah GOP shot back with a press release that matches much of Corroon’s statement word for word.

During his monthly press conference on KUED, Herbert was asked which presidential candidate he planned on voting for. The governor said he planned to vote for Trump, citing the candidate’s stand on states rights and the ability to pick future Supreme Court nominees.

Once the word was out, Corroon issued a statement the same day calling Herbert’s support of Trump, “Unbelievable. Shameful. Appalling.”

Those are just some of the words that came to mind when I heard Gary Herbert confirm his plan to vote for Donald Trump in November. Governor Herbert has shown once again that he prioritizes politics and his own party over what is best for the people of Utah. When he publicly voices support for a man who has disrespected so many groups of people, even calling for a ban on Muslim migration; a man who would be a disaster for Utah’s economy and cost us up to 95,000 jobs; a man who jokes about gun violence against his opponent; a man who is so clearly unfit and unqualified to be president, Utahns know Gary Herbert is not looking out for their best interests.

A few hours later, the Utah GOP chair James Evans released a statement that states it was “inspired by Peter Coroon (sic).”

Unbelievable. Shameful. Appalling. Those are just some of the words that came to mind when I heard Democratic candidate for Governor Mike Wienholtz was planning to vote for Hillary Clinton in November. Mike has shown once again that he prioritizes politics and his own party over what is best for the people of Utah. When he publicly voices support for a woman who has disrespected and lied to so many groups of people, even accepting money from countries that deny women basic human rights; a woman who has lied to the American people, U.S. Congress, and the families of slain servicemen; a woman who is so clearly unfit and unqualified to be president, Utahns known Mike Wienholtz is not looking out for their best interests.

Democrats denouncing the Republican presidential nominee, while the Republicans denounce the Democratic presidential nominee. Shocking.

Yandary Zavala, the Utah Democratic Party’s communications director, called Evans’ statement a ‘Melania move,” making reference to accusations made against Melania Trump that a portion of her speech at the Republican National Convention was plagiarized.

“It is shocking that Chairman Evans would resort to plagiarizing Utah Democratic Party Chair Peter Corroon’s statement to make light of the seriousness of the 2016 presidential election,” Zavala wrote. “Perhaps he simply meant to poke a little fun, but this ‘Melania move’ by James Evans highlights just how out of touch the Utah GOP – and its Chairman – is with the political climate in Utah and with what is best for Utahns and their families.”

The Democrats also took their annoyance over the matter to social media as they posted the press releases side-by-side for all to see.

Most of your comments could apply to Hillary as well. Except you could add lying, deceit, and career politician who will say anything to get elected.

It’s truly sad these two are the best we could come up with. I’m positive that both my teenage son and grandmother (RIP) could do a better job than these clowns.

In 2004 Melanija Knavs / Knauss was a citizen of Slovenia
In 2017 Mr Trumps third wife could be living in the White House as

She went through the process to become a legal U.S. citizen. As did the wife of President John Quincy Adams. As did the wife of Secretary of State John Kerry. As did my wife. It’s really astonishing what conspiracies people can imagine…..

The haters just don’t understand the difference between coming to the US legally and coming here illegally and intentionally buying that fake social security card and illegal documents that us as US citizens would be arrested for the felony charge of identity fraud. I was told it’s easier to come here illegal and have fake documents. I say it’s a crime. It’s a crime that if I did it I would be arrested for….fair? Noooooooooope
