Marianna “Cathyleen” Hurlbert Bowen, age 53, passed away Aug. 8, in Provo, Utah. She was born Aug. 18, 1962, to Jerry Wayne Hurlbert and Earlene Wilma Reynolds in Henderson, Nevada.
Cathy: Is on the coast by the sea and asks “what shall I be?” She could drive a dump truck and a backhoe too. She could make good pie crust and venison stew. She mined for gold in the Nevada hills, dreaming of riches and paying her bills (poem by her sister Karen Berry).
Cathy owned Last Chance Saloon in Modena for many years and loved horses and all critters too. The love of her life was her son Matthew.
She is survived by her son; her little sister, Kimi (Mark) Jenson of Modena, Utah; her middle sister, Karen Berry of Modena, Utah; niece Sissy Jenson; and nephew McCray “Mackadoo” Jenson.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Earlene Wilma Hurlbert; brother Joseph Hurlbert; and her brother-in-law John Berry.
