ST. GEORGE — The Dixie Republican Forum invites its members, friends and the public to attend “Violence in America and how it affects our local police force” forum Friday presented by Washington City Police Officer Robb Radley.

Mass violence is becoming a daily occurrence not only in America but around the world.

Violence comes at us from many directions by people with diverse and horrific intentions.

Police hear, see and experience that same violence; much of it targeted directly at them.

What kind of training prepares law enforcement for the absolute worst case scenario while serving and protecting the general community? How can the public better understand and support its police officers whose job is to keep people out of harm’s way?

It’s a conversation worth having and the Dixie Republican Forum is starting it Friday. The discussion will be held at 10 a.m. at the Center for Active Aging, 161 W. 200 North, Unit 130 in St. George.

The forum invites all to attend; don’t miss this opportunity to connect.
