News short: Hundreds in Cedar without power after vehicle crash

CEDAR CITY — Over 360 Rocky Mountain Power customers are without power Thursday afternoon in homes and businesses in the 84720 zip code area of Cedar City.

Power was lost after a vehicle collision in Cedar City and repair crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to begin repairs. More than 860 customers were initially without power.

Officials estimate power should be restored by 7 p.m., according to the “Large Scale Outage Information for Utah” page provided by Rocky Mountain Power.

According to the release, “Outage updates are provided for general information and convenience to customers. Information is posted, at a minimum, every 30 minutes. Restoration times and details may vary with real-time activity.”
