Texas golfer wins 14th annual Mesquite Amateur tournament

MESQUITE, Nev. – In a scorching end to tournament week with temperatures at 110 degrees, Nick Page of Montgomery, Texas, took home the coveted trophy for the annual Mesquite Amateur tournament presented by Mesquite Gaming. Page shot a championship round 77 net 64.

The three-day tournament saw more than 501 individuals registered and 37 states represented, along with international participation coming in from Canada, England and Thailand. Marking its 14th year, the tournament boasts seven courses with challenging styles of desert, arroyo, vista and canyon play.

This year’s sponsors included TaylorMade, The Mesquite Resort Association and Callaway Golf.

“It’s been a great week and we’re so thankful to the participants, sponsors, volunteers and attendees who make it possible each year,” said Christian Adderson, Mesquite Amateur tournament director and corporate sales manager for Mesquite Gaming. “We had some talented participants this year and offer our congratulations to Nick.”
