“Right now, best information we have,” said Stephen Studebaker, assistant manager for the Sand Hollow State Park Complex, “(is) two individuals were on the ‘Jet Ski,’ eight individuals on the boay; four injuries at this time, nothing severe thankfully. Everyone was able to get off the water safely.”

A man was driving the boat and another man was driving the personal watercraft with an adult woman riding with him.

The worst of the apparent injuries were two head lacerations – one to the woman riding the watercraft and the other to a passenger on the boat. Nobody required transport to the hospital as all injuries appeared to be minor.

Although the lake was crowded as expected on the Memorial Day holiday weekend, Studebaker said speed was the predominant factor in the accident.

“Those ‘Jet Skis’ – they have to run pretty quick speed to make maneuvers,” he said.

No citations had been issued when this report was taken, but the accident was under investigation.

Sand Hollow State Park Complex personnel and Hurricane Valley Fire and Rescue responded to the incident.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

since the injuries were superficial we can assume that man is sobbing and crying over a damaged boat. melodramatic drama queen much? you would have thought there were deaths with that kind of sulking.

or maybe the sulking is because he has to pay for the damage on the other guy’s boat also?

Glad there was not more serious injury. SG News calls “Scooter” perhaps “Personal Water Craft” might be a better term.
