ST. GEORGE — Singer and songwriter Eva Fry will be performing her own hit songs in a free concert at the historic St. George Tabernacle Saturday at 7 p.m..

Fry, who has written many of the songs she will perform in this lively concert including “Do All You Can” and “Never Give Up,” said her music will lift the spirit and encourage audience participation.

Many of Fry’s songs contain the message of “living life to the fullest, including the later years,” she said.

Fry became involved in community work at the age of 60 and began writing books. Two of her titles are: “Be a Winner in Life” and “Letters from Juvenile Hall.”

Fry’s volunteer work at juvenile detention centers in California and Mississippi continued in St. George when she and her husband relocated here five years ago from San Diego, California.

Now, at the age of 77, Fry teaches “Celebrate Your Senior Years, Fully Live Your Life Right To the Very End” at Dixie State University for the Institute for Continuing Learning. She also makes weekly visits to the Washington County Juvenile Detention Center each Wednesday to “inspire those kids and give them hope,” she said.

The community is invited to this free and fun casual concert. Those attending can enter on the west side of the Tabernacle for an elevator and special needs access.
