William Hart

William HartDec. 1, 1935 — April 24, 2016

William Maurice Hart, age 80, passed away April 24 at his home in St. George, Utah.  He was born Dec. 1, 1935, in Ogden, Utah.

William attended Weber College, the University of Utah and graduated from Stanford University. He excelled in his career as a physical therapist, P.E. teacher and real estate broker. While working, he also flourished as a carpenter and built several homes and enjoyed woodworking.

He loved life and lived it to the fullest.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, sports, hunting and dancing. He had a love of music, the arts and of the outdoors.

He was the eldest son of Elizabeth and William Hart and has four siblings: Patricia Hayes, Kaye Hart (deceased), Karen Hart and Steven Hart.

He is the proud father of five children: Michelle DeLaTorre, Gary Hart, Kimberly Belnap, Billy Hart (deceased) and Alysa Dominguez. He has several grandchildren and nieces and nephews whom he loves.

He loved to have fun and get together with friends. He was very friendly and outgoing and would talk to anyone and everyone. He loved to laugh and loved to make people laugh.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had several opportunities to serve in the church and enjoyed the associations he made there. He was always willing to help those in need. He had a strong testimony of the gospel and a deep love for the Savior and his family.

Funeral Services

  • Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 28 at 11 a.m. at the Sun River LDS 1st Branch, 4461 S. Country Club Drive, St. George, Utah.
  • A visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.
  • Interment will be at the Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.
