Police bust 2 alleged drug dealers in Mesquite

MESQUITE, Nev. — Mesquite Police narcotics detectives concluded an investigation last week into two individuals who were allegedly “continually selling illegal drugs from their home” in Mesquite, Nevada.

Last Thursday afternoon, detectives served a search warrant at the home of the two suspected drug dealers, identified as 45-year-old Jodi Moss and 58-year-old John Sutton, according to a media statement issued by the Mesquite Police Department Wednesday.

“The subsequent search warrant yielded a large quantity of crystal methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and stolen property,” police stated.

Both suspects were at home at the time the search warrant was executed, according to the statement. Both suspects were taken safely into custody.

Moss was arrested and charged with two felony counts of sales of a controlled substance (meth), four felony counts of low-level trafficking of a controlled substance (meth), two felony counts of mid-level trafficking of a controlled substance (meth), one felony count of possession of a controlled substance (meth), one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and one felony count of possession of stolen property.

Sutton was arrested and charged with one felony count of sales of a controlled substance (meth), four felony counts of low-level trafficking of a controlled substance (meth), two felony counts of mid-level trafficking of a controlled substance (meth), one felony count of possession of a controlled substance (meth), one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and one felony count of possession of stolen property.

Moss and Sutton were transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.

Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
