Film Fanatics: ‘Saturday’s Warrior,’ ultimate in LDS cinema comfort food?

REVIEW – In this episode of “Film Fanatics,” co-hosts Bruce Bennett and Adam Mast chime in on “Saturday’s Warrior.” This latest slice of cinema inspired by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints faith is an adaptation of a popular stage play that first debuted in 1974.

Does the musical do the original play justice?

Is “Warrior” goofy, campy, cool or cheesy, comfort food or perhaps green jello – and will it find an audience beyond the LDS?
