ST. GEORGE — Two vehicles tangled Tuesday driving down Foremaster Drive and one man received minor injuries in the crash.

A Chevy Aveo was coming down the hill westbound on Foremaster about 12:15 p.m. when the driver slowed at a crosswalk, St. George Police officer Vincent Lusk said. The Aveo was hit from behind by a Buick passenger sedan.

“The Chevy Aveo driver had a small abrasion on his head,” Lusk said, “but he was not transported.”

The Buick driver was uninjured, Lusk said, adding that both vehicles received significant damage and were towed from the scene.

The Buick driver was cited for following too close, Lusk said.

Units from the St. George Police Department, the St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the scene, which slowed traffic on Foremaster Drive for about 30 minutes.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
