ST. GEORGE – New footage of an alleged Bigfoot sighting in Utah’s Payson Canyon has been released this week by a group called The Paranormal Review.
The Bigfoot video released by the group Monday provides a full breakdown of the Bigfoot sighting.
According to the group, a man was filming a river in Payson Canyon when he heard noises in trees above the area that caught his attention. He turned his camera as he looked up, and that is when he purportedly caught the elusive creature on camera.
The man captured the footage in the spring of 2015 but said he was too afraid and embarrassed to show anyone because he didn’t want to sound crazy, according to the group. He later found The Paranormal Review channel and decided to submit the footage.
The video has already garnered nearly 50,000 views in less than 24 hours, leaving many wondering: Does Bigfoot really exist?
The question may continue to remain one of the great mysteries of our time, with many believing Bigfoot is just a legend or a hoax, while others hold the belief that the massive, hairy, humanoid creature is real.
Lurking closer to home
On Feb. 13, 2002, a woman and her husband were driving west on Old Highway 91 toward Mesquite, Nevada, when they saw what they described as a brown, hairy, 8- to 10-foot tall creature in Washington County, according to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization website.
“He came up from the south by the Santa Clara River. We saw him in our headlights,” the woman told the Bigfoot organization. “He was about in the middle of the road when we saw him. He was swinging his arms like a human and he kept glancing back to see how fast we were approaching.”
According to the site, the witness said that the creature couldn’t have been a person in a suit because it was too massive and looked too much like an animal.
Since 1997, there have been at least 69 documented Bigfoot sightings reported in Utah.
Other recent Bigfoot sightings caught on camera in Utah include sightings in Sundance in June 2014, American Fork Canyon near Tibble Creek Reservoir in February 2015, and Alpine Loop published in November 2015.

I particularly enjoyed Bender’s comment relating to a costume rental. So what do we have? Documented sightings or 69 delusional observers?
