ST. GEORGE — Snow Canyon State Park is preparing for one of the busiest weekends that the park will experience all year. Presidents Day is Monday, and the park is expecting visitors to begin arriving on Saturday.

Park manager Kristen Comella said that traffic controls will be in place at both park entrances, with peak visitation times estimated to be between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. If the park pullouts and parking areas become full, a temporary entrance freeze will be implemented. Comella said that long entrance lines and waits of an hour may be a possibility.

Comella encourages visitors to carpool, arrive during non-peak times, or if possible, visit on alternative dates. Information can be obtained by calling the park office at 435-628-2255.
