ST. GEORGE — Maybe the names and faces have changed a bit, but the tradition — and zaniness — remains.
All that will be on display Wednesday night in Burns Arena as the Harlem Globetrotters come to town. Tickets are on sale at the Burns Arena ticket office and online on the Harlem Globetrotters website.
The high-flying, mind-boggling basketball skills of the Globetrotters will be on display beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Wun “The Shot” Versher, a 21-year veteran of the Harlem Globetrotters, said his group has a few surprises in store for the audience.
He also said the Globetrotters, celebrating their 90th anniversary, will pay homage to their former heroes, guys like Meadowlark Lemon Sweet Lou Dunbar and Curly Neal.
