BRIAN HEAD — Brian Head Town and Duck Creek Village are hosting the Annual Jokers Wild Snowmobile Poker Ride the day before Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb. 13. As if riding 60 miles of the most scenic trails in Southern Utah is not sufficiently appealing, there are also chances to win prizes along the way, including the grand prize of cold, hard cash.
The ride will kick off at 9 a.m., and riders are welcome to depart from either Duck Creek Village or Brian Head. Rider information is provided at the event headquarters, Cedar Breaks Lodge in Brian Head or at Loose Wheels in Duck Creek.
A registration fee of $20 per person will get riders a poker card, a grab bag of goodies and a chance to win door prizes. Pinewoods Resort will be offering a special lunch deal for the riders in Duck Creek beginning at 11:30 a.m.
The ride will follow trails through the Dixie National Forest and Cedar Breaks National Monument and will include five stops to pick up another poker card. Be sure to snap beautiful photos along the ride. Brian Head will post photos of the day on their website and Facebook page.
The ride will conclude at 4 p.m. at Cedar Breaks Lodge bar in Brian Head where riders will turn in their cards and winners of the poker hand draw will be announced. Prizes from sponsors will be given to those with the best hand, worst hand and many more. The grand prize is cash for you to spend on your loved-one for Valentine’s Day the next day.
Riders will be tired after a full day of fun, so Cedar Breaks Lodge is offering a 10 percent room discount for riders if they use the code “POKERRUN” when booking. Stay with the lodge this Valentine’s weekend and heat up your Valentine’s Day on Brian Head’s adventure-packed mountain.
Registration forms and additional information can be found on the Brian Head Town website. More information is available by calling the Brian Head Town offices at 435-677-2029 or by calling Loose Wheels in Duck Creek at 435-682-2526.
