Eleda O. Hale

Eleda O. Hale, 90, passed away Dec. 23, 2015, at her home in Washington, Utah. She was raised in Logan, Utah, and graduated North Cache High in 1943. Eleda married Rex Alma Hale May 13, 1944.

She worked at Nonpareil Foods in Blackfoot, Idaho, where she lived for 51 years. Eleda also worked on the family farm cooking for the crew. After that, they spent many of their winters in Quartzite, Arizona, before moving to St. George, Utah.

Eleda served as the Primary president and scout leader in the LDS church and had many other callings as well. She loved traveling with her husband and was a member of the Good Sam Club.

She enjoyed painting, gardening and caring for her flowers. She loved her family and enjoyed bragging about their accomplishments.

Eleda is preceded in death by her husband, Rex; daughter, Lynette Hale McLane; and son-in-law, William B. McLane.

She is survived by her son, Boyd (Linda) Hale; her sister, Maxine James of Logan, Utah; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services

  • Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29, 11 a.m. at the Washington LDS 6th Branch Chapel, 700 E. Telegraph St., Washington, Utah.
  • A visitation will be held Tuesday, prior to services, 10-10:45 a.m. at the Chapel.
  • Interment will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, 11 a.m., in the Millville City Cemetery, Millville, Utah.
