WASHINGTON CITY – Failure to yield while pulling out of a parking lot Monday morning led to a collision on N. 3050 East just south of the S. Green Springs Drive intersection.
The collision occurred around 11:35 a.m. when the driver of a passenger car leaving the Petco parking lot made a right turn onto N. 3050 East and collided with a northbound car, said Ed Kantor, Washington City Police public information officer.
The car collided with the passenger side of the northbound car and both vehicles came to a rest in the roadway and had to be towed from the scene.
Traffic near the crash was temporarily affected, though able to flow around it as police investigated the incident.
No injuries were reported in connection with the collision.
The driver of the passenger car pulling out of the parking lot was issued a citation for failure to yield to oncoming traffic, Kantor said.
