Dixie High is making a habit of going deep into the state playoffs.
Winner of two of the last three state championships, Dixie is no stranger to the turf and cool air at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
Tonight, the Flyers battle the Tooele Buffaloes (6:30 p.m., ESPN Radio 97.7 FM) in an effort to return to the title game and, perhaps, make it three out of four state championships.
Dixie, 8-2, has won three straight and is coming off a 28-23 win at home against Pine View in the state quarterfinals.
Tooele, 8-3, has captured five straight and is fresh off a 35-7 defeat of Hurricane in the quarterfinals.
