ST. GEORGE — The Color Country T-Trak Club’s annual “Model Railroad Tour” is opening doors and calling “All Aboard” Friday through Monday throughout the St. George area as model railroad engineers and hobbyists show off their trains and tracks to delight young and old.
In response to increasing demand, the model railroading club extended the tour this year to include Sunday and Monday, hobbyist Craig Harding said. Some said they’d like to be able to do a Sunday tour, he said, and others expressed interest in taking the tour with their families for “Family Night” Monday.
Perfect for family outings on any or all of the four days of the tour, the train tour is held in conjunction with November’s designation as “Model Railroad Month.”
Twelve model railroaders, several of them award winners, are participating this year, prepping their exhibits over many months time. Open house times vary; see tour map below with schedule of times each home is open for tour below.
