ST. GEORGE – One driver’s failure to yield to oncoming traffic resulted in a two-car collision Wednesday morning just north of the intersection of Dixie Downs Road and Sunset Boulevard in St. George.
The crash occurred just after 8 a.m. when the driver of a white Pontiac car was pulling out of the east end of the Lin’s Fresh Market parking lot, turning left to go north on Dixie Downs Road, St. George Police Sgt. Jeff Bahlmann said.
At the same time, a yellow Mazda car was heading south on Dixie Downs Drive.
“The white Pontiac pulled out in front of the yellow Mazda, and a collision occurred,” Bahlmann said.
Only minor injuries were sustained by the occupants of the vehicles, Bahlmann said, and no one was transported for medical care.
The driver of the Pontiac was issued a citation for failure to yield before entering a roadway.
The Mazda had major front-end damage and the Pontiac sustained damage to the driver’s side. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, and both were towed from the scene.
St. George Police Department, St. George Fire Department and medical units responded to the scene.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.

I knew it was just a matter of time before the girl in that yellow mazda got into a wreck. She cut me off twice the other night switching lanes like a maniac, speeding up Bluff the other night after work. The funny thing is she got stuck behind a truck, tried to beat the traffic by using Telegraph and got caught in some gridlock. she was screaming and cursing at everybody in front of her. turns out she was trying to get to Perks. All of that frustration a cup of coffee. I guess that is what you get for thinking your Toretto!
