MESQUITE, Nev. – A 68-year-old man was arrested in Mesquite this week following an investigation into reports of parties being hosted at a residence where drugs and alcohol were allegedly supplied to minors.
Follow-up on anonymous tips from the public led investigators to believe Paul Scott, of Mesquite, was the one supplying the alcohol and drugs, according to a news release issued by the Mesquite Police Department Thursday night.
Additional investigation has led to accusations of alleged inappropriate behavior involving a minor, according to the news release.
Scott has been charged with four counts of open and gross lewdness, one count of indecent and obscene exposure, two counts of battery with intent to commit sexual assault, one count of attempted lewdness with a child under the age of 14, one count of lewdness with a child under the age of 14, and one count of luring a child with a computer for sex acts.
Additional charges may be added, as the investigation is ongoing.
Further details about this arrest and the incidents leading up to it were not available from police at the time of this publication.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.
