ST. GEORGE – It’s time for the 2015 St. George Lions Dixie Roundup Rodeo. The St. George tradition enters its 81st year and will be held at the historic Lions Dixie Sunbowl Sept. 17-19. Advance tickets go on sale this Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Lions VFW Building north of the Sunbowl. This includes general seating and reserved seats.
Bull riding, barrel racing and team roping will be part of the PRCA approved schedule of events. The professional level competition will feature champion level cowboys and stock.
The festivities begin Thursday with Kid’s Night. Children age 11 and under will be admitted free with an adult ticket.
Friday is “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night. One dollar from each ticket will be donated to the local Intermountain Healthcare Foundation Breast Cancer Awareness Program.
Saturday’s schedule begins at 9 a.m. for the rodeo parade. Competition will conclude Saturday night.
General admission tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children age 11 and under. Toddlers age 2 and younger are free. Reserved seating is $15 and must be purchased in advance of the event.
Tickets go on sale Saturday at the St. George Lions VFW Building, 301 E. 100 South, in St. George. For more information call 435-673-3301.
