Randolph Wayne Claunch

Claunch, Randy(October 18, 1957 – August 22, 2015)

In loving memory of Randolph Wayne Claunch, age 57, who passed away on August 22, 2015, in his home. Randy was born in South Gate, California, on October 18, 1957, and in 1995, he moved to Utah.

Randy served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Randy loved sunrises and the ocean. He enjoyed nothing more than watching family and friends playing in the water.

Randy was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to spend his time fishing and camping with the family. He loved driving his truck and worked in various professions.

He celebrated and loved life and was a great partner, father, grandfather and friend to many. Randy had a beautiful caring soul. We will all hold dear our fond memories of him. God bless you, love.

He was preceded by his parents, Dorothy and Wayne Claunch; and his brother, Donald Claunch. He is survived by his loving partner of 38 years, Pam of Washington, Utah; his children, Sommer, Kristeen and Melanie of Washington, Utah; his two sisters, Linda of Antioch, Illinois, and Robyn of Vancouver, Washington; and seven grandchildren, Jade, Celeste, Christopher, Kyle, Daniel, Tyler and Pamela, whom he adored and in turn adored him.

Funeral Services

  • There will be a celebration of life and sunrise service, Sunday, Sept. 13, 5:30 a.m. at Balboa Pier, New Port Beach, California. Pastor John Nipper will offer words, and afterward Randy’s ashes will be released into the sea. Wear beach wear and be prepared to stay and have some fun.

Friends and family are invited to share condolences online at the Serenity Funeral Home website. Arrangements and memorial tree planting have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah, 435-986-2085.
