ST. GEORGE – Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Riverside Drive in St. George Monday afternoon.
Around 1:45 p.m., a white Infiniti G35 collided with an Oldsmobile Intrigue on Riverside Drive just west of 2450 East.
The Infiniti had originally been southbound on 2450 East and made a right-hand turn onto westbound Riverside Drive, and then moved over into the left-hand lane, causing a collision with the westbound Oldsmobile, St. George Police Sgt. Sam Despain said.
The collision left both cars inoperable and resulted in the Oldsmobile’s two adult occupants being transported by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George with minor injuries.
The driver of the Infiniti was cited for improper lane travel, Despain said. The driver didn’t check to make sure the second lane was clear before moving over, he said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
St. George Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance also responded to the collision.
