CEDAR CITY – The Cedar City Police Department issued a notice around midnight Tuesday that the two girls it sought public help locating have been found.
“On behalf of the family of the two missing/runaway teenage girls, thank you to all who assisted in looking for them,” the department’s notice said. “They have been located and are safe.:
Megan Schwartz, 13, and Getty Rice, 14, had last been seen in Cedar City at approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday. The Police Department asked public assistance in locating the missing girls.
In its later post, the Police Department also thanked the public for assisting the family and the community by sharing its social media posts.
