Bill D. Reynolds

Bill D. Reynolds, 86, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2015, in St. George, Utah, following a short battle with cancer. He was born September 5, 1928, to Clarance and Nell Reynolds near Joplin, Missouri.

Bill proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before beginning a successful career with the Burlington Northern Railroad.  On February 7, 1953, Bill married the love of his life, Virginia Reynolds (nee Drake) in Kansas City, Missouri.  Together, they lived life to the fullest where they traveled the world, enjoyed the arts and spent time with their many family and friends for 53 years.  After Virginia’s passing in 2004, Bill worked as a hiking guide at Green Valley Spa and a volunteer guide at the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson’s Farms, sharing his vast knowledge of St. George’s history and landscape.

Bill is survived by his nieces, Karen LaFever and Pamela Bales; great-niece and nephews; and his faithful canine companion, Sadie.  He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and his love of the outdoors.

Funeral Services

  • Private services and interment will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, at a future date.
