OPINION — I recently discovered a place in Mesquite where everyone wins.

It’s called Katherine’s Steakhouse, and it’s located at the CasaBlanca Resort and Casino, 950 W. Mesquite Blvd. in Mesquite, Nev.

I know what you’re thinking – A fine dining restaurant inside a casino? Really?

Yes, really. I am not exaggerating when I say it’s easily the BEST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD. Here’s 10 reasons why:

Reason No. 1: The menu lights up. What a time to be alive.

Reason No. 2:  All of the Beef is USDA dry aged prime grade from Chicago Stock Yards. (It literally doesn’t get better than that.)

Reason No. 3: They make their bacon in-house. It’s a 10 day, eight hour process, and it’s love at first bite.

Reason No. 4: The spinach salad is served hot. And prepared tableside. And includes bacon.

Reason No. 5: No one should ever have to choose between prime filet mignon or lobster tail, so prime filet mignon AND lobster tail is a menu option.

Reason No. 6: The house-made mustard sauce is by far the best sauce I’ve ever tried. (Still not exaggerating.)

Reason No. 7:  The prime rib is actually prime prime rib. (Two primes the charm.)

Reason No. 8: You can order stone crab mid-October through mid-May. Mark your calendar!

Reason No. 9: They serve lobster bisque soup. Two words: life changing.

Reason No. 10: Bananas Foster is prepared tableside for dessert …
