ZION NATIONAL PARK – A search and rescue mission is underway in The Subway area of Zion National Park Tuesday night.
A 54-year-old man injured his ankle just before the first rappels into The Subway, Zion National Park Public Information Officer Aly Baltrus said.
The man needs to be brought out to a place where Life Flight can land and pick him up.
A park medic is spending the night with the man until Life Flight can fly in to pick him up in the morning, Baltrus said.
