Lillian Hall Bowler Tullis

Tullis, Lillian Obit2(April 16, 1925 – May 5, 2015)

Lillian Hall Bowler Tullis passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2015, in St. George, Utah, at the age of 90. She was born on April 16, 1925, in Escalante, Utah, to Amos Wesley Hall and Mary Alice Wright Hall.

When Lillian was one year old her parents moved to Enterprise, Utah, where she grew up and graduated from Enterprise High School. She married Walter Alpine Bowler in the St. George LDS temple on December 18, 1942. They resided in Enterprise where they raised their seven children.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a hard worker in her home, yard and garden. She dearly loved to sew, quilt and crochet; making many, many items for her family and friends. She loved Christmas and always made it a special time of the year for her family.

In October 1980, Alpine passed away with cancer. In November 1982, she married Carroll Tullis and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. When Carroll retired they moved to Newcastle, Utah, Carroll’s home town. Together they enjoyed many good years there. In 2006 she moved to St. George, Utah, as Carroll was in poor health and soon passed and she wanted to be near her children so they could help her in her declining years. She did enjoy being near her family and they enjoyed having her close by to take to dinner and to family holiday gatherings.

As a family we are so grateful that we have been blessed to have with us right up to her 90th birthday. The last event she was able to attend was her 90th birthday celebration where she enjoyed visiting family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to sincerely thank all of those who cared for her at The Meadows Assisted Living and Alpha Home Health and Hospice.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Alpine Bowler, their three children: sons, Leslie Alpine bowler, Olin Eugene Bowler and daughter, Mary Christine Bowler; grandson, Kirk Chambers; her second husband, Carroll J. Tullis and all five of her siblings.

She is survived by her son, Randy H. (Claudia) Bowler of West Jordan, Utah; daughters, Charlotte Chambers, Judy Goulding and Ramona Jensen all of St. George, Utah; stepchildren, Kathy (Dave) Grizzle, Colette Tullis and Lis Tullis all of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Howard (Jackie) Tullis as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.
