Shortly after noon, a northbound Ford SUV was turning left into the Albertsons parking lot on Dixie Drive, just south of Sunset Boulevard, when the driver failed to notice a motorcycle that was traveling southbound, St. George Police Sgt. Albert Gilman said. The SUV driver turned left in front of the motorcycle and the bike struck the right rear door of the SUV with great force.

The motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was reported as conscious but not fully alert after the collision. He was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

All passengers in the SUV were wearing seat belts and were uninjured.

The driver of the SUV was cited for making an improper left turn.

Your typical St George Car and Truck driver pulling out in front of motorcycles because they they think that motorcycles are not allowed any right of way. The same idiots that think pedestrians in crosswalks are not allowed the right to cross the street safely. the same idiots that are too stupid to figure out how to make a left hand turn. The same idiots that have no idea of what a stop sign looks like. I’m no surprised considering most of them had to get help just to do the drivers license open book test
