BROOKSIDE — A man was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center Tuesday night after his involvement in a rollover accident in Brookside, about 25 miles from St. George off state Route 18.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., a 33-year-old man driving a Mini Cooper was traveling north on Stagecoach Drive in Brookside. While attempting to avoid hitting bumps in the road, the man moved his vehicle close to the right shoulder and ended up rolling the car at least once down a slight embankment; the car landed on its wheels, Washington County Sheriff’s Detective Nate Abbott said.
The man was awake, alert and moving around after the rollover but was transported to the hospital by ambulance with possible head injuries, Abbott said. Abbott did not know the severity of the man’s injuries.
No citation has been given at the time of this publication. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies continue investigating the accident.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Brookside Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to the accident scene.
This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement or other emergency responders and may not contain the full scope of findings.
