ST. GEORGE — A 2-year-old child was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center after falling from a two-story building Wednesday afternoon.

Just before 4:30 p.m., a mother had opened a window, containing a screen, in the second level of the Black Hills Apartments at 454 N. Valley View Drive in St. George, to bring in some fresh air when her 2-year-old child pushed on the window freeing the screen and falling to the ground below, St. George Police Lt. Doug Sargent said.
