BEAVER DAM, Arizona — The AZ Strip Riders Club rodeo series will soon hit calendars with the first event happening at the AZ Riders Arena, 100 Mitchell Drive in Beaver Dam, Arizona, on Jan. 25. Rodeo events include barrels, poles, single stake, goats and a draw event.
The rodeo will continue every month until the summer when they will head into Utah, resuming again in the fall. The events are free for spectators.
“This club was put together for the kids to learn about the sport and have good sportsmanship,” said Brandy Luscomb, AZ Strip Riders Club board member. “It’s not about who is better or fast here … it’s about having fun.”
The upcoming Winter/Spring 2015 Saddle Series includes following events:
- Jan. 31, 10 a.m. PST
- Feb. 28 10 a.m. PST
- March 14, 10 a.m. MST
- March 28, 10 a.m. MST
- Apr. 18, 10 a.m. MST
- Apr. 25, 10 a.m. MST
- May 23, TBA depending on the heat
Awards will be announced and distributed June 6.
Membership
A membership is required for individuals to participate in the events and membership forms must be signed and notarized no later than the second event to be able to participate. Membership is $10 per person or $35 for a family living in the same house. Member event participation fees are $5 each with a $3 arena fee per person. There is no spectator fee.
