“Shar” Sharlet Heitkotter, 60, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014.  She was born July 13, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, to Rolando and Jeanette Ponzio.  She married Michael Heitkotter May 19, 1984, in Denver.

Sharlet graduated from Mapleton High School and was a graduate of Thorton Northglenn Beauty College, both in Denver.  She was a senior banker for several area banks, and enjoyed working with the community in that capacity.  Her hobbies included waterskiing, golf, tennis, and riding her motorcycle with her husband, as well as doting on her grandchildren.  She was a member of Rotary, the St. George Chamber of Commerce, the St. George Art Museum, and other local agencies including The United Way.  She loved ringing the bells for the Salvation Army each Christmas and most recently enjoyed her work with the Family Support Center.  Helping others and giving back to the community was a true gift she enjoyed each and every day.  She loved strong black coffee, cosmos, dressing up for Halloween, and giving hugs to all she ran into throughout the day.

She is survived by her husband, Michael (St. George); her children Kesha (Jon) Wall of Nashville, Tennessee, her sons Tony Praznik and Paulo Praznik, both of  St. George; her grandchildren Chloe, Alex, and Dominic, and her brother Wayne (Jan) Ponzio of Denver, as well as her nieces Lisa (Steve) Johnson and Gina Ponzio.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Rolando and Jeanette, and her brother Roland.
