(July 15, 1959 – November 19, 2014)

Jerald DeForest Ball, age 55, passed away November 19, 2014. Jerald was born July 15, 1959, in Big Piney, Wyoming, to Frank DeForest Ball III and Margaret Stifler Ball. He married Heather Ann Koehler, November 6, 2003. Jerald was raised in Big Piney, Wyoming. He graduated from Philips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, and then went on to graduate from the University of Wyoming. Jerald received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State in 1988. He practiced veterinary medicine in North Andover, Massachusetts, and then in Orem, Utah, before establishing his practice in St. George, Utah.

Jerald had a great love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed golfing, boating, four wheeling, and hiking. Jerald also took great joy in silver smithing and woodworking. He enjoyed traveling, but he especially enjoyed long drives to new places.

Jerald is survived by his mother, Margaret Stifler Ball; wife, Heather Ball; daughter, Margaret Fisher Ball; son Daniel DeForrest Ball; sister, Marque Ball; two brothers and their spouses John Robert and Becky Ball and Roger and Becky Ball; and five nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Christine Ball (Chris) and his father Frank DeForest Ball III (Bim).

Funeral Services

• A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff St, St George, UT.
• A visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 23, at 9:30 a.m. prior to services.
• A memorial service will also be held in Big Piney, Wyoming.
