DeLoyd H Bithell, 72, of Washington, Utah, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014, at 4:24 p.m. He was born February 23, 1942, in Auburn, Wyoming.

My eternal sweetheart wanted to take one last deer hunt. He died of natural causes doing what he loved to do after saying, “I just want to get a deer.” DeLoyd was born in beautiful Star Valley, Wyoming, to Howard Donald Bithell and Ila Hyde Bithell. He spent the first 18 years of his life in Wyoming where he enjoyed the best fishing and hunting known to man.

In 1972, he met his angel wife, Beryle Louise Randall. On their first date as he pushed her on a swing, she said, “I am going to marry you!” and three weeks later they were married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 25, 1972. They were sealed for time and all eternity on March 18, 1978, in the St. George LDS Temple. Together they have raised ten beautiful children.

DeLoyd worked at Moore Business Forms for 25 years. Many of you might remember him as the “damn” dog catcher in Washington City, but his work ethic and dedication made him the best “damn” dog catcher in town. He served the community, his church and his family, always giving 100 percent of himself, 100 percent of the time. He was an honest, hardworking man who could fix anything and had the desire to help everyone. He emulated what the Savior taught when he said, “…as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” He will be deeply missed by many and never forgotten by those who loved him most.

He is survived by his angel, Beryle Louise; his legacy of children: Vance (Smilla) Bithell, Jeff Bithell, Steve (Francesca) Hopson, Lori (Allen) Johnson, Mark (Lisa) Darnall, Kim Bithell Miller, Liz (Jeremy) Lucas, David Bithell, Matt Bithell, Kory Dee Bithell (with his Dad in Heaven), and Tommy Bithell; grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. DeLoyd’s loved ones in Heaven: Howard and Edna Earle Bithell; William and Ila Kuchler; son, Kory; grandson, Dustin Bithell; granddaughter, Harley Miller; and his brother, Alan Walker.
