Linda Waltz Lott, 69, passed away September 6, 2014, at home surrounded by friends and family after a long fight with cancer. She was born July 5, 1945, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Paul and Evelyn Hoftiezer Waltz. She married Ben Lott, October 16, 1965, in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Linda spent her early years in Michigan and graduated High School in St. Johns, Arizona. She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1963. She attended college at Arizona State University and Brigham Young University and later graduated from Pima Community College as Valedictorian with a degree in nursing. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, genealogy, gardening, camping, helping her husband and boys with scouting, going to her children’s athletic activities and spending time as a family.
She is survived by her husband, Ben; children, Kurt and Leslie Lott (Great Falls, Montana), Jason and Jennifer Lott (Pleasant Grove, Utah), Brent and Tiffany Hogan (Leeds, Utah), Roy and Amber Barker (Evanston, Wyoming), Nathan and Brittany Fielding (St. George, Utah); 20 grandchildren; and brother, Geoffrey Waltz. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Damon and Troy; and granddaughter, Makaela Barker.
Funeral Services
- Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 11, at noon at the Leeds Second Ward, 75 North Main Street, Leeds, Utah.
- Friends may call Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 6–8 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah, and Thursday, Sept. 11 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the chapel, prior to services.
- Interment will take place in the Leeds Cemetery.

Why do they not put what the person died from, accident, cancer, suicide????
