ST. GEORGE – Officers arrested a 27-year-old man Wednesday for felony drug possession, failure to stop at the command of an officer, and two outstanding warrants after witnesses reported his suspicious behavior in the area of 490 East 700 South in St. George.
At approximately 10:15 a.m., officers responded to the report of a man who witnesses said was acting suspicious by ducking and hiding and jumping fences, St. George Police Officer Jeremy Needles said in his probable cause statement supporting the arrest.
When officers arrived on scene, they located the man who matched the description called in to dispatch as he, again, began to jump the wall into the complex the officers were walking around.
“The male appeared to be sweating profusely and was pacing back and forth,” Needles said in the statement. “He was extremely fidgety and would not hold still.”
As Needles also jumped the wall, the man stated his name was Garrett Cisneros but that he did not have any identification on him. The man then took off the backpack he was wearing and tossed it in Needles’ direction, then began to run.
“I yelled at him to stop,” Needles said in his statement, “but he continued to run.”
Needles was able to catch up to Cisneros at the corner of 400 East and 700 South and confirm his identity by a driver’s license located in Cisneros’ pocket.
After searching Cisneros’ backpack, Needles located several items of drug paraphernalia, heroin and methamphetamine. Cisneros’ drug-related charges were enhanced for being in a drug-free zone – with Dixie High School located within 1,000 feet.
Garrett Wesley Cisneros, of St. George, was arrested and charged with two second-degree felonies for possession of heroin and methamphetamine; two class A misdemeanors for drug paraphernalia and failure to stop at the command of an officer; and two class C misdemeanors for warrants out of Washington County Justice Court.
Cisneros was booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility with his bail set at $24,416.
After his release from the correctional facility, Cisneros was arrested again Friday by St. George Police Officer Lionel Gracia on charges of trespassing, a class B misdemeanor, and theft, a class A misdemeanor. According to booking information posted as this report is published, his bail on Friday’s charges is set at $2,526 and he remains in custody.
Persons arrested or charged are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law or as otherwise decided by a trier-of-fact.

I get the impression other people are tired of the steady flow of koolaid in St George where the slogan could be “I don’t always drink, but when I do, it’s the St George Koolaid. Stay worthy my friend.”
I get the koolaid thing but it is seriously overused…that and sheeple are getting quite annoying.
