SOUTHERN UTAH – Visions of fireworks dance in the heads of sleepy children as Pioneer Day 2014 draws to a close.

Throughout Southern Utah, cities celebrated, neighbors hobnobbed and parades progressed in honor of the pioneer men, women and children who settled Utah so many years ago.

Below, enjoy a gallery of photos depicting various community celebrations that took place throughout Southern Utah Thursday, including Ivins, Hurricane, Springdale, Kanab and Washington.

And be sure to view our coverage of Washington City’s Days of ’47 Dixie celebration, including a large photo gallery, here.

Happy Pioneer Day!
