HURRICANE – Mayhem is coming to Southern Utah – Sand Hollow Mayhem that is. A 12-hour, 18-and-older outdoor party will be held at Sand Hollow State Park Saturday from noon to midnight.

Cliff jumping, water jetpacks, volleyball, a skim boarding competition, dancing, constant musical entertainment, and a fireworks show are among the many events included in the event.

Sand Hollow Mayhem is put on by Heart of Dixie, an organization devoted to providing entertainment and social gatherings to youth in the Southern Utah community.

Saturday’s Mayhem will mark the third year the massive beach party has come to Sand Hollow. Last year 1,800 people attended from all over the state of Utah.

This year, 2,500-3,000 people are expected to attend with presales confirming people are coming from all over Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, D.C. and Michigan.

“In expectation of this we have increased the entire production,” Jared Keddington, owner and event coordinator for Heart of Dixie, said. “More thrills, more surprises, more activities, bigger stage, debut of the water jet packs and hover boards and the VIP Cabañas, which sold out days ago.”

See the Sand Hollow Mayhem Facebook page and Website for a complete schedule of events, information and guidelines. Tickets are available online and at the event.

Great, just what southern Utah needs: spring break style parties. Judging from the videos I hope they have good insurance.

You have no idea what Spring Break in Saint George could be! Sand Hallow Mayhem will never be as crunk as the Saint George Blvd 15 yrs ago!

Not from first hand experience, true. I never got into that. But I’ve been here 30 years and have heard the stories and seen it from a distance. I remember in the early 90’s a football team from up north came down together, got drunk, and knocked holes in all the walls to connect up all their hotel rooms. Apparently using the hall wasn’t fun enough.

Give the entire world a break with your stupid comment. Why do so many idiots in this town think that anything other than church leads to drugs, alcohol and sex? Are you really that stupid? Go crawl back under your rock and don’t resurface for another 100 years. Geez, you people are so ignorant, it’s painful listening to or reading your stupidity.

This is just the kind of fun thing this uptight community needs. It’s to bad about the swimmers itch, there is going to be a whole lot if people regretting the party tomorrow. Have fun and play that music loud, the old people in St. George can’t hear anyway.

Your uptight community needs an enema all the way to their brains to clean the stupidity out of them.
