Isabella “Bella” Hunt

Hunt, Isabella Obit(May 10, 1929 – May 23, 2014)

Isabella (Bella) Hunt, age 85, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014. She was born May 10, 1929 in Kent, England to John and Isabella Ginzler Bain. She was raised in England as well as attending school and working many jobs. Her favorite job was that of Telephone operator. After her marriage to Keith Borst, they immigrated to the United States. After living in Charlottesville, Virginia for nine years, they found their home in Jackson, Mississippi, where the family was converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS by wonderful missionaries. They had five children together and later divorced.  Bella was encouraged by good friends to move with her two youngest children to St. George, Utah where she found great peace and happiness. She soon met and married her love and eternal companion, Frank S. Hunt Jr. in the St. George LDS Temple on May 16, 1986.  They spent many happy years together and served a mission in the St. George Historical sites. Frank later passed away on April 11, 2010.

Bella enjoyed gardening, crafts, music, and sewing of which she was very talented in each of them. She was very dedicated to the gospel.  She served in many callings, her favorite being the ward chorister for several years. She was blessed to return to visit her family in England three times, the last time being exactly one year ago.  Although not planned, all of Bella’s children eventually found their home in Utah, which made her very happy!

She is survived by her children Sandra (Joe) Price of Lehi, Utah; Glen Borst of Saratoga Springs, Utah; Carole (Tim) Anderson and Benita (Warren) Brooks of Santa Clara, Utah; Howard (Keri) Borst of Washington, Utah; and Shelley (Gene) Wilcox of Tremonton, Utah; twenty-nine grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister, Barbara (Brian) Salter of Covenham, Lincs, England and her brother, John (Lynn) Bain of Milkwall, Glos, England.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Jean Bain, and her husband, Frank.

Mom (Grandma) would always wave to us as we drove off when we left her home. She would wave until we turned the corner and were out of sight. “Mom (Grandma), we are now waving as you turn the corner. We love you and will miss you dearly!”

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the wonderful staff and friends at Emeritus at Cliff View, the doctors and staff at Dixie Regional Medical Center ICU and the Nursing Staff on the 3rd floor for the special love and care they provided for our Mother and Grandmother.
