Police ask public for help: Incidence of tire-slashings

CEDAR CITY – The Cedar City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a series of tire-slashing incidents in the area.

The department has responded to reports of several vehicles with slashed tires this week in the vicinity of 200 North to 500 North and 100 West to 500 West.

The slashing have most likely occurred during evening or midnight hours, Cedar City Police said in a Facebook post.

According to the post, the police currently have no leads or suspects in the slashings.

If you know anything about these malicious acts, or see anything suspicious occurring in the area, please contact the Cedar City Police Department at 435-586-2955.

In it’s statement posted, the Cedar City Police Department thanked the public for its assistance.

    i also got my tire slashed in st. george. the knife had broke off in my tire and i have a picture of it. it is a buck knife that was used.
